While visiting the historic Jerusalem neighborhood of Ein Karem during a school field trip in December, 10-year-old Nehorai Nir spotted something colorful shining in the dirt as he climbed a hill.

A 10-year-old found a golden cross while on a class field trip to the village of Ein Karem village in Jerusalem, Israel. The medallion is believed to be 100 to 200 years old.
