It is, at its core, protest art—meant to challenge the status quo and incite change. Asian-American demonstrators rally for Black Panther Party co-founder Huey P. Newton’s release from prison in 1969.

This is something I’ve wanted to do since I started out in art and media 17 years ago. I’ve been creating politically-charged projections for about six years, ever since the Occupy D.C. movement.
