Inter Milan moved three points clear at the top of Serie A after beating third-placed Atalanta. Napoli, who sit second, were held to a goalless draw by Venezia earlier in the day and Inter seized the opportunity to open up daylight in the race for the title.

Inter Milan extended their lead atop Serie A to three points with a 2-0 win at third-placed title rivals Atalanta thanks to goals from Carlos Augusto and Lautaro Martinez on Sunday in a hard-fought clash that saw both sides finish with 10 men.

Ademola Lookman and his coach Gian Piero Gasperini appear to have made up. And that can only be a good thing for Atalanta’s title chances.
