India and China on Monday decided to resume the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra as the two sides agreed to take certain people-centric steps to "stabilise and rebuild" ties.

According to a statement from India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), the resumption of the Mansarovar Yatra is scheduled for the summer of 2025, with both countries planning to work out the necessary logistical arrangements through existing agreements.

The Ministry of External Affairs said on Monday that China had agreed, in principle, to resume direct flights between the two countries, according to news agency Press Trust of India.
