Shandon historic neighborhood in Columbia features old-growth shade trees, sidewalks and brick homes with arched entryways for authentic yet lived-in appeal.

Twelve houses were listed by Columbia’s building inspector, according to the June 3 board agenda. Four were brought up for mowing and cleaning, while eight are up for demolition.
