High heat and humidity today. Temperatures will be in the mid-to-upper 90s with a heat index near 100 degrees. Afternoon and evening thunderstorms are expected with a few on the stronger side.

Although the heat advisory is now expired, the heat itself may linger into early Monday. A cold front is expected to move through during the afternoon hours, setting the stage for scattered thunderstorms ahead of and along the boundary.

Chief Meteorologist Dave Nussbaum says it will be a muggy and warm night. The weekend will be hot and humid with scattered storms each day that could have an impact on the World Police and Fire Games around town.
