Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong made a surprise guest appearance onstage with the Sex Pistols and Frank Carter yesterday, June 26, at the Tons Of Rock festival in Oslo, Norway. The three generations of punk icons joined forces to perform Sex Pistols classic Anarchy In The UK for a delighted audience at the climax of the band's 14-song set.

This is the second time this year that Billie Joe joined one of his influences on stage at a festival that Green Day were headlining; he did the same with The Go-Go’s at Coachella. Green Day and the Sex Pistols will also both be at Riot Fest this year.

Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong stopped singing during his concert to confront a disrespectful, per fan-captured TikTok footage. The band was performing at Germany's Hurricane Festival when the incident occurred.
