A St. Augustine man claimed a $1 million prize after playing the $1 million A Year For Life Spectacular scratch-off game.

The Florida Lottery officially updated an eye-watering prize offering from “2 of 2” available to “1 of 2.” On April 18, the state announced that a gas station customer took home a whole lot more than a tank of fuel.

Vijay Gandhi, 61, won $1 million playing a 500X THE CASH scratch-off game, the Florida Lottery said. Gandhi bought the $50 ticket at a 7-Eleven in Tampa, according to an April 23 news release. He beat odds of 1 in 274,004 to snag the game’s second-tier prize.
