Joe Douglas gets an official title as Eagles announce hires and changes to front office staff
The former Jets general manager, who spent six years in New York, rejoins the Eagles as the team's senior personnel director/advisor to the general manager.
The Eagles signed Andrew Mukuba, the last of their 2025 draft class, on the eve of the players' training camp report date.
Douglas, who is 49 years old, is heading to Philly to be the new Senior Personnel Director/Advisor to Eagles general manager Howie Roseman, according to Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network. Joe Douglas is one of six new hires for the organization.
Just one day before the veterans report to Philadelphia Eagles training camp, news has emerged from the NovCare Complex: they have officially signed Andrew Mukuba to his rookie deal. Now, all ten players from the 2025 draft class are under contract.
Mukuba, the 5-foot-11, 186-pound safety out of Texas, had been one of five unsigned second-round picks across the league as of Monday.

There was word in May that the Eagles hired former Jets General Manager Joe Douglas and the team announced his title on Monday.
For the past few offseasons, the Eagles have employed the same offseason strategy: find a backup quarterback in the free-agency pool. They rolled the dice on Joe Flacco and Gardner Minshew in 2021. They stuck with Minshew in 2022. During the 2023 and 2024 offseasons, they ran with Marcus Mariota and Kenny Pickett, respectively.
