A man who died after a tree fell on his car in Raphoe, County Donegal, has been named as 20-year-old Kacper Dudek. The incident happened on the N14, north of Lifford, near Ballinalecky Cross, early on Friday.

A man has died after a tree fell on his car in Co Donegal during Storm Eowyn, an Garda Siochána have said. The incident happened at around 5.30am at Feddyglass in Raphoe, in the north-west of the Republic. Police and local emergency services went to the scene after the tree fell on the car on Friday.

A garda spokesperson said that a Family Liaison Officer (FLO) has been assigned to provide support to Mr Dudek's family

A young man who tragically died after a tree struck his car in the chaos of Storm Eowyn has been identified. An Garda Síochána released the name of the victim on Saturday morning as 20-year-old Kacper Dudek.
