Deion Sanders had some lofty expectations for his son, Shedeur, in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Dallas Cowboys great predicted back in May that his son would be a top-5 pick. But things didn't pan out that way.

Deion Sanders said for months leading up to the draft that both Shedeur and former Colorado star Travis Hunter would be top-five picks. That was true for Hunter, and the Jacksonville Jaguars mortgaged their future to move up to No. 2 overall for the Heisman Trophy winner. Shedeur, however, fell out of the first round altogether.
