All-Party Civic Committee of Dashmina upazila in Patuakhali called a half-day hartal in the upazlia Saturday to protest against the incident of putting a mosque under lock and key.

Dashmina upazila administration in Patuakhali Thursday imposed section 144 in the upazila headquarters to avert any untoward incident as two rival groups called meetings at a same venue and same time.

This bridge, supposed to be built on Sutabaria River in Dashmina upazila of Patuakhali district, lies unfinished for long 13 years, causing sufferings to over 5 lakh people.
