A federal judge has adjourned the corruption trial for New York City Mayor Eric Adams and appointed counsel to advise him on how to handle the Justice Department's request to drop charges against the Democrat.

The star prosecutor not only resigned, but she offered a rationale for why the trial judge — and possibly the Second Circuit — could deny a dismissal.

Adams was indicted on five counts including bribery, conspiracy and campaign finance violations. He pleaded not guilty to all charges.
