Edmonton Oilers superstar Connor McDavid is arguably the best player in the NHL right now. Not everyone will agree with that statement, but he's at the very minimum at the top of the conversation for that title. Unfortunately, he came up just short for the second year in a row when it comes to a championship.

Connor McDavid scored his first goal of this Stanley Cup Final in Game 5, only after he and the Edmonton Oilers fell behind 3-0 on the way to getting pushed to the brink by the defending champion Florida Panthers.

While Draisaitl has ended the Oilers’ two victories in the series with overtime goals that gave him an NHL record with four in a single tournament, McDavid has beaten Sergei Bobrovsky once and has just four even-strength points in five games, one since Game 2.
