Clemson softball made a statement Tuesday night, notching its first win over a No. 1 team in program history with a 4-3 extra-innings victory at Tennessee.

Clemson shocks No. 1 Tennessee as the Tigers earn their first-ever win over the top-ranked team in the country.

Tennessee and Clemson ended up going to extra innings and Clemson was able to score on a sacrifice fly in the top of the ninth to take the lead and come out with the win, 4-3. Up next, the Lady Volunteers hit the road to resume SEC play. They will travel to Ole Miss this weekend. First game against the Rebels is set for Friday night at 7 pm ET.
