Christian Moreno and Abilene Schnieder have pleaded guilty and will have an argument hearing on Sept. 9 ahead of the punishment phase, which will begin on Sept. 20.

Christian Moreno received a sentence of 18 years in prison and Abilene Schnieder sentenced to 15 years in prison. They both received a $5,000 fine and are prevented from owning a dog in the future.

226th District Court Judge Velia Meza sentenced Christian Moreno to 18 years in prison. His wife, Abilene Schnieder, was sentenced to 15 years in prison. They faced a maximum punishment of 20 years.
