Charlotte Douglas International Airport’s terminal lobby expansion is in its fourth year, and it will be more than two years until the project finishes in the fall of 2025.
About Charlotte’s airport. CLT’s terminal was built in 1982. At that time, it was designed to accommodate 2.8 million passengers. Fast-forward four decades.
The statue of Queen Charlotte is expected to be unveiled this fall in the airport’s renovated and expanded terminal lobby. That project is scheduled to be complete in 2025.
