The guardian of an 8-year-old Boston Public Schools student who was seriously injured when he was struck by a school bus in December 2024 is suing the bus driver and his employer for damages.

BOSTON — Months after a school bus driver hit a young student and school aide, new dash cam footage shows a video from inside that bus. The lawsuit is filed on behalf of Cynthia Davis, the guardian of the 8-year-old boy who suffered a broken femur.

The crash left the boy, who has a diagnosis of autism, with a fractured femur which required two months of in-patient hospital and rehabilitation care, and multiple surgeries, according to the complaint.
