Brian Schottenheimer’s ink started as a way to bond with his son. Now, the tattoos are reminders of what’s most important to him.

Schottenheimer, who twice turned down head-coaching opportunities, finally landed a job after going 12 hiring cycles without an interview.

Schottenheimer served as a consultant (2022) and, later, as offensive coordinator (2023-24) with the Dallas Cowboys before he was promoted to the role of head coach after the club parted ways with Mike McCarthy this past January.
