Nintendo has released its latest financial data for the third quarter of FY2025 ending on 31st December 2024. As part of that, the company has provided an update to its top ten best-selling Switch games list.

Nintendo recently highlighted three big games coming to the original Switch in 2025. They are Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition on March 20, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, and Pokemon Legends: Z-A.

Following the release of its financial results on Tuesday, Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa answered a series of questions from investors. Nintendo reveals that the Switch sales are declining faster than it anticipated, but the device could still become the world's best-selling console.

Nintendo shared its earnings report for the end of 2024, showing that console sales were down further than expected in the months before the Switch 2 reveal.

Nintendo officially revealed the Nintendo Switch 2 last month, showing off a console that looked very similar to its predecessor, albeit larger and slicker. At the time, the company also revealed that a Nintendo Direct stream focused on the Switch 2would take place in early April,

Japan's Nintendo cut its full-year sales Switch forecast by 12% to 11 million units as the aging console loses momentum ahead of the launch of a successor device this year. Nintendo remains dependent on its console business even as it has opened stores and its roster of characters feature in theme parks and film.

Though we’ll still need to rely on leaks, rumors, and conjecture for whether the JoyCons can act as a mouse for games.
