A former head of the Orlando Museum of Art who left the museum in 2022 after it was raided by the FBI as part of a probe into several forged Jean-Michel Basquiat paintings has died.

Basquiat also reimagined pivotal moments in history through the lens of the Swiss Alps. In Big Snow (1984), he uses the Alpine setting to explore Jesse Owens ’ 1936 win at the Berlin Olympics.
