Holmes tossed a career-high 104 pitches, 61 for strikes — a total Atlanta pitchers reached just 16 times last season. It matched the workload of his previous start on March 31 in Los Angeles, where he also walked four. The 29-year-old issued just 19 free passes over 73.1 innings in 2024, a sign of how much he has been tested early in 2025.
