Overall, the design of the Microsoft Surface Laptop 7 is on par with Apple’s MacBook series of laptops. It’s rare to find a Windows laptop that can compete at this level.

Of course, we can't comment on battery benchmarks yet, but Apple does claim the M4 MacBook Air should see you through 18 hours. To compare, Microsoft says the Surface Laptop 7 will last 20 hours.

The Surface Laptop 7, while still providing decent battery life, may not match the MacBook Pro’s endurance, especially when running demanding applications or engaging in resource-intensive tasks.

Overall, it's a very strong competitor to (and, in some ways, better than) Apple's MacBook Air. If you're in the market for one of those, I'd suggest you check out the Surface Laptop 7 first.
