Netflix is starting again with its animated adaptation of table-top game Magic: The Gathering. The streamer previously announced a version of the show in 2019 with Joe and Anthony Russo at the helm.

The Russo Brothers said they grew up playing Magic and the adaptation was inevitable for them. The project may be animated, but Joe Russo teased that the series may grow into something else.

Here’s how it works. In a move which I can only assume is a running joke by Netflix at this point, Magic: The Gathering is getting an animated series—no, seriously, for real this time.
