For those who study the ancient Etruscans and Romans, absolutely. There’s no doubt that this is the most important discovery of bronzes since the Riaci bronzes were unearthed in 1972.
The bronzes, which were found in a perfect state of conservation alongside 5,000 gold, silver and bronze coins, include entire figures of deities, individual body parts and organs.
The discoveries shed light on what the Italian Culture Ministry calls a "unique multicultural and multilingual haven of peace" between Etruscans and Romans at a time when they were mostly at war.
