The inmate was first jailed on June 21 in another county and was transported to the Adams County Jail on July 1 and was being held as a sentenced inmate, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Adams County Sheriff Dale Wagner said that's one of the first steps to reopening the jail, which was closed in May 2022. Currently, inmates are housed in Benton and Franklin counties.
