After a tough loss to Florida, Vanderbilt faces a brutal schedule. Did the Commodores show enough to give fans hope for their team’s first NCAA Tournament in seven years? In the second half, Florida had 19 rebounds to Vanderbilt's 14, 11 assists to Vanderbilt's 8 and just two turnovers. Even though the Commodores scored 39 points themselves in the second half and shot 16-for-33, they couldn't keep up.

Vanderbilt never got closer than seven from there. Martin's dunk with 3:26 left and Richard's contested 3 to make it 79-65 with 2:45 remaining proved to be the daggers. Florida shot 64.3 percent in the second half and made 7 of 11 3-point attempts.
