Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook’s billionaire board members have been spared from testifying after clinching a settlement with Meta shareholders in an $8 billion lawsuit over privacy violations, a lawyer for the shareholders said Thursday.

The lawsuit targets billionaires including Zuckerberg, Sheryl Sandberg, Marc Andreessen, Peter Thiel and Reed Hastings—along with Biden’s former chief of staff.

The lawsuit had been ongoing for many years and would have forced top-level executives to speak before the court.
