It could take weeks or months for the public to know what caused the fire that last month charred 6,600 acres in the Otay Mountain Wilderness as local Cal Fire officials continue their investigation.

A new wildfire was reported today at 5:29 a.m. in San Diego County. The wildfire has been burning on private land. There is currently no information on the containment of the fire and its cause remains undetermined.

Arrests made in two San Diego wildfire investigations; The arrests are part of investigations into the Center Fire in Rancho Bernardo and a wildfire in Mission Valley off San Diego Mission Road.
