People around the country, including in the Rochester area, are set to protest against President Donald Trump's policies on Saturday in what's being called "No Kings Day".
Protesters gathered Thursday night on East Third Street in Bethlehem, a day after Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested 17 construction workers at the Five 10 Flats apartment complex.
Some of the demonstrations were organized by local residents after being surprised by sudden immigration raids; others are part of planned efforts by organizations like the Service Employees International Union, the Party for Socialism and Liberation and the 50501 Movement, a progressive political group.
Customs and Border Patrol confirmed it is providing "aerial support" to law enforcement efforts during the protests.
Journalists have been among those injured during protests against immigration raids in Los Angeles in recent days, as police clashed with crowds of protesters and fired less-lethal munitions to disperse them.
