Wigan Athletic have signed Wrexham striker – and cult hero among fans - Paul Mullin on loan for the forthcoming 2025-26 season. The 30-year-old has scored 110 goals in 170 games in all competitions for the Welsh club since joining in the summer of 2021.

Popular Wrexham striker Paul Mullin, who was the face of the popular show 'Welcome to Wrexham' and had become a key fixture at the club as it gained global popularity, may have played his last game for the Red Dragons.

Mullin, who had been Wrexham’s player of the season in each of the three previous years, was only a bit-part performer when the team won promotion to the second tier last season.
