The Mega Millions ticket was purchased at the adjacent ShopRite liquor store and was the largest lottery jackpot ever won in New Jersey. According to lottery officials, since 2020, 12 other New Jersey retailers, including White Oak Liquors in Belleville and 7-Eleven in Montvale, have sold multiple draw prizes exceeding $500,000.

The biggest winner was in Somerset County, where a player hit for $1M on a 100X Cash Blitz scratcher. The ticket was sold at Wegmans in Bridgewater.
