The Memphis Grizzlies dropped their second consecutive game, losing to the Atlanta Hawks in the summer league in Las Vegas.

Jack McVeigh led the Hawks with 20 points. Kobe Bufkin and rookie first-round pick Asa Newell contributed matching 14-point, two-assist tallies while pulling down six and eight rebounds, respectively. Newell added two steals and two blocks. Kobe Johnson furnished 12 points, four boards and two assists.

Small, who plays point guard, had not played since the Grizzlies’ first summer league game in Salt Lake City on July 5.
