The U.S. decision to join Israel's campaign against Iran sharply escalates the conflict. President Donald Trump on Saturday said the United States attacked Iran, hitting three nuclear sites in Fordo, Natanz, and Esfahan.

Iran's foreign minister Abbas Araghchi reportedly said that Washington only needs to tell Israel to “stop everything” for negotiations to resume again.

Israel said Saturday it had killed three more senior Iranian commanders, including an official allegedly in charge of coordinating with Palestinian militant group Hamas. Israel and Iran have continued to trade missile and drone attacks after Israel launched an unprecedented bombing campaign on the Islamic Republic.
