Eighty-eight people aboard a Holland America cruise ship, the Eurodam, in the Caribbean were sickened in a norovirus outbreak -- the fifth striking the line since early December.

A norovirus outbreak on a Holland America Line cruise ship sickened nearly 90 people – marking the third time the wretched stomach virus has swept through the ocean liner this year, health officials said.

Nearly 90 passengers and crew members aboard a cruise ship that left from Florida have fallen ill with norovirus, according to the Centers for Disease Control’s Vessel Sanitation Program.

It's the second Holland America Line ship to have dozens of passengers fall ill this month, according to the CDC.

The Holland America Line cruise ship left Port Everglades on Feb. 2 and traveled through the Caribbean, Colombia, Panama and Costa Rica over 12 days.
