Former AC Milan and Napoli manager Gennaro Gattuso has been appointed Italy national team coach, the Italian football federation (FIGC) said on Sunday.

Italy have finally managed to find a replacement for the sacked Luciano Spalletti, with former AC Milan boss Gennaro Gattuso set to take charge.

Gennaro Gattuso, 47 years old, held a record of 73 appearances for the Italian national team during his playing career.
