The Einstein ring, formed as light from a distant galaxy bends to glow around another object in the foreground, could help solve the universe’s mysteries.

The James Webb Space Telescope has revealed a rare "Einstein ring," revealing two distant galaxies in an optical illusion predicted by Albert Einstein.

Einstein, for once, was wrong. This week, a team from the European Space Agency's dark energy survey telescope Euclid published a high-resolution photo of a halo effect called an Einstein ring.
