Detroit — The Detroit Pistons selected guard Chaz Lanier with the No. 37 pick of the 2025 NBA Draft. Lanier adds depth to the Pistons' backcourt, averaging 18.0 points on 39.5% shooting from behind the arc in his only season at Tennessee.

The second and final round of the 2025 NBA draft is taking place Thursday at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, home of the Nets. Former Tennessee guard Chaz Lanier was selected in the second round by Detroit with the No. 37 overall pick. He played one season at Tennessee after transferring from North Florida.
