Dovish BoE officials cut rates in the face of hawkish forecasts
The BoE’s forecasts suggest it will only cut rates two more times over the next three years on the back of higher inflation and weaker underlying growth capacity. The 7-to-2 vote to cut rates with a bias towards a larger cut suggests MPC members do not accept the hawkish message in the forecasts.
