DOUGLAS COUNTY, Kan. (KCTV) - A bicyclist suffered life-threatening injuries in a crash Tuesday night in Douglas County. It happened on N. 1400 Road between Lawrence and Eudora and involved a bicycle and a car.

One person has been hospitalized after being struck by a car in Douglas County Tuesday evening. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office says N 1400 Road has been blocked off between E 2000 Road and Winchester Road as investigators examine the scene of a crash involving a bicyclist.

A Monday morning crash in Volusia County left a bicyclist dead when he was struck by a truck at an intersection in DeLand, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The Florida Highway Patrol said the 38-year-old rider ran a stop sign and crashed with a Ford F-250 at Old New York and Euclid avenues.

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WKYT) - A near-miss involving a bicyclist and a police cruiser led to charges for the bicyclist. According to an arrest citation, it happened Friday evening on Holmes Street.

A bicyclist was airlifted to the hospital Monday night after being struck by a vehicle in northwest Miami-Dade, deputies confirmed.
