USDA issues highest recall warning for sausages sold nationwide
A Massachusetts-based food company has recalled 24,173 pounds of chicken sausage as the products may be contaminated with pieces of plastic. According to the USDA, the Class I recall involves "All Natural al fresco chicken sausage sweet apple with Vermont made syrup.”

11-ounce vacuum-packed packages containing four pieces of "All Natural Al Fresco Chicken Sausage Sweet Apple with Vermont Made Syrup" with lot code "179" and "Use/Freeze By" date "OCT 01 2025" printed on the back package label.
The USDA also has widened the recall’s production window to meat produced as early as May 31, versus a previous start date of June 19, the source said. The window extends to Oct. 8.
