Amid unrest in California, Republicans on the House Oversight Committee pressed the governors of three blue states on their immigration policies in an acrimonious eight-hour hearing that often veered off course.

Gov. Hochul is set to testify before Congress on state immigration enforcement, addressing the criticisms from a Republican-led committee on sanctuary policies.

The event, dubbed "A Hearing with Sanctuary State Governors," will feature Walz, Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker, and New York Gov. Kathy Hochul. The chairman of the committee, James Comer (R-Kentucky), has accused the Democratic governors of running states with sanctuary policies that "shield criminal illegal aliens from immigration enforcement."
