Delta Airlines said on Friday it has paused flights to Tel Aviv from New York through August 31 due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East after Israel launched a huge wave of airstrikes across Iran. The emergency directive comes amid fears of Iranian retaliation against Israeli strikes across Iran.

Airlines are cancelling flights until further notice, leaving travellers to decide whether to wait it out or seek costly detours through neighbouring countries.
