Hi, it's about 45min - 1 hr from Surfer's paradise. We left early and made sure we have plenty of time to find the place. There's a large car park at the mariner where we boarded the ferry. The ride to the island took about 1 hour. On the way there we were served morning tea. The staff came round to give us safety instructions and and explained what we can expect to see out there. after the first snorkel we were served lunch, then we proceeded to the second site where we had free time to explore the waters, the beach or the island. Back on the boat for afternoon tea and eco talk as the captain took the boat out for dolphin/marine wild life sightings. After that the boat headed back. It was a full day trip.
Has anyone been in June? Would love to go on the trip but not sure if we will see anything orif the water will be warm enough to go snorkelling.

We were staying in Surfer's Paradise and were picked up from our hotel. When we booked (over the phone) we just double checked that they could pick us up. If they can't it is very easy to hop on a tram from Miami to Surfer's which doesn't take long.
Hi Peter, I was wondering how old your granddaughter is please? I have a four year old daughter and wonder If you think snorkelling is a suitable activity for one this young? Thanks, NIcki

Hi Nicki A four year old would be a little young to do the snorkel around the wrecks however she could snorkel around the beach for free and still have a good chance of seeing a few fish. At that age we have usually found it's more about the experience of trying snorkelling.
