To visit the beach? Well, ideally when there are very few other people about. I was there over December and January and although I did see a few people out swimming, I had the place virtually to myself. I used to go early in the morning - at first light. It's one of the better spots in Lagos to take sunrise pics and there are lots of beautiful little nooks and crannies to explore around Batata. I think midday during mid-summer would be an absolute nightmare!!!
