Kawachi is a town located in Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan. As of 1 July 2020, the city had an estimated population of 8,298 in 2986 households and a population density of 183 persons per km². The percentage of the population aged over 65 was 39.5%. The total area of the city is 44.30 square kilometres.
