Q:
I and my wife are planning to to go to fairymeadows and from there to nanga Parbat base camp in early July. I would like to know the following please how difficult is the trek to fairy meadows and from there to the base camp. Is it a steep climb or gradual. Our only experience in climbing is Miranjani mountain in Nathi gali (3000 m. Total track length 4.6 km and elevation of 600 m) which we did in about 5 hours going up and down and did not find it very difficult can you do the base camp walk from fairy meadows in one day or do you need to stay overnight. If so are there accommodations available Are there any facilities along the way What would be the weather like in early July. What clothes we need to take. Would there be rain or snow Does one need any special hiking equipment Is it safe for two people to go up to base camp THANKS

I did this trek almost 20 years ago, so the information I provide is probably not reliable. The distance from Raikot Bridge to Fairymeadows is very tiring and it is advisable to travel by a jeep. Fairymeadows to the basecamp is not steep and the round trip is possible in a day.
