We came here from Padstow as this restaurant is highly recommended on the Fork. But what a disappointment. I wish we'd taken note of the poor reviews on here. Just been taken over by St. Austells Bre…Full review by Ktfrz

What an amazing place. It reminds me of Port Merion only this coastal settlement is all authentic and historic. Incredibly narrow 'streets' not wide enough for vehicles; a spectacular harbour entranc…Full review by Phil E

I am a little confused and I think you can help me out. Did you get your tickets once you were there and were they easy to purchase? I am not sure I can do the walking; is there much that is steep or otherwise difficult? You didn't hear of a car tour of the area, did you? Thanks for responding; I am sure you had a wonderful time. I am going for 3 weeks end of August. I used to go 3-4 times a year working for a British company but I haven't been back in 20 years! But I have never been to Devon or the Cotswolds.

We went early (9:00ish) so we could park in the lot closest to town, and bought our tickets at May Contain Nuts as soon as we arrived. There are two tours, one about 11, I think, and another early afternoon. All of Port Isaac is quite hilly and there are quite a few steps on the walking tours but it’s pretty slow-paced and well worth the effort if you can do it. My knees are 71 and creaky but got me through. It’s such a delightful town, you should go! Another place to go is the Minack Theatre in Cornwall. There are a few reserved seats in the back for ppl who can’t do the steps. I’d recommend going to the matinee so you’re not maneuvering the narrow roads in the dark.

I will be in Padstow for 1 (ONE!) day, May 17. Can you tell me if there will be filming for Doc Martin that day. If yes, what is the schedule, must one have a ticket to enter the town, and if so when and where can I get one? Thank you

The film company cannot give a definite date as they have to depend on the weather. Sometimes it is the inside work. Anybody can come to Port Isaac and visit May Contain Nuts, Fore Street where guided tours of the film locations take place 11am and 1pm daily.

Q:
Is there more dates, that Doc Martin will be filmed in Port Isaac. I know some filming has been done. Thank you
A:
I believe this is the last season they were filming this year so if it has already happened then I would say that’s it.
