I spent maybe 45 mins to an hour. But you can break off when you like or simply walk around yourself. Tour is worth it for information. No extra charge I remember.
Wow, impressed that you recognize my interest. Limited time demands picking between a tour of the state house or a tour of Fenway Park. Comments appreciated.

Gosh, these choices are difficult. Depends on your own preferences. If you are more a historian than a baseball person, then it has to be the Statehouse. If you are more a sportsman or more particularly a baseball person, then Fenway. If you are a Sox fan, then there is certainly only one answer! The statehouse tour can be done in 90 minutes, including commute time. Fenway will doubtless take longer. My guess is 2-2.5 hours for the park tour including commute time. Good luck!
Hello, I am interested in visiting and just wonder how long the tours take. I'm interested in the Old State House Tour on the hour and the Boston Massacre tour on the half hour. The building looks beautiful. Judy K

Hi Judy, we were in Boston last May and used the T (rail) to get around and found it quite easy to use The state House takes about 30 Minutes to look around and is worth a visit. For the JFK Libary and Museum allow about 3 hours in total which includes getting there and back. Take the T to JFK/University of Mass Station which takes about 20 minutes, then bus from the station bus stop to JFK Museum. This takes about 10 minutes. We spent about 2 hours in the Museum. Also consider this to be worth a visit. May I also suggest a walk in the Boston Public Garden in the late afternoon as the resident squirrels seem to come out about that time. Cheers.
