Google Maps says the #16 bus is the most direct. You’ll have to walk from the cruise ship area to the Stavanger S bus station. About 15 mins later it drops you off about 400m shy of your destination which you’ll finish on foot. There are other bus routes that get relatively close as well, but longer journeys.

Hi Susie, as I remember the Swords in Rock historical site was about 2.5 to 3 miles from the museum which I think is in the center of Stavanger. If you are in Stavanger, it's worth making a quick stop by and checking the Swords in Rock out. We were on a coach tour which stopped there. You could walk or take public transportation.
